Hundreds of local Boston rockers descended upon The Bridge Sound & Stage up in North Cambridge on Sunday for a BBQ of epic proportions. The event was a collaboration by a number of local Boston music sites  – PGB, Boston Band Crush, Bradley’s Almanac, Exploit Boston!, Ryan’s Smashing Life, Tea Party Boston, Zed = Zee, and Agent Bishop Productions. In addition to some amazing food, tons of beer provided by our friends at Narragansett, and a charity raffle that netted hundreds of dollars for local children’s music organization Zumix, some instruments were set up on stage and musicians were invited to jam out together. Mick Murray of In Your Face Photography caught some great video of some of the better jams, here’s our favorites from the night. A big thanks to all the musicians who participated, and a lot of credit has to be given for the EXCELLENT selection of covers over the course of the night. Fresh off a wildly successful CD Release Party at Precinct in Somerville, Boston groove rockers Stereogrove (formerly known as Stem) have embarked on a mini-tour of the Northeast to promote the new album. While they were gone, they wanted to leave you with a present – some free music! Live At The Bridge was recorded, oddly enough, live in front of a packed house at The Bridge Sound & Stage up in North Cambridge. The 11 song album is laced with ear-catching elements of rock, reggae, funk, and jam, with some ska rhythms tossed in the mix and a grungy growl slapped on top. Live At The Bridge is available to download in entirety for $5, but for a limited time the band has put 3 of the songs up as a FREE sampler. Stereogrove will be back in town on Friday, June 11th, for a show over at Porter Belly’s Pub in Brighton Center
