Last month we told you about our favorite venue in Quincy, the Beachcomber! Well this month some of our favorite bands happen to be playing there! This Friday June 26th, Team Shred has assembled a stellar lineup of The Few, Pawnshop Diamonds, Brendan Boogie and the Best Intentions and Sad Bastard Goes Pop. I caught The Few and Pawnshop Diamonds together at the Beachcomber last year and they rocked the bejesus out of the place.
The Few has been busy in recent months, solidifying their chemistry with new bassist Ryan Martin, and working in the studio on a new album. Nominated for some rather impressive awards last year, including Limelight’s “Best New Band” and “Best Female Vocalist,” look out for The Few to take Beantown by storm this year (after conquering Quincy on Friday).
Pawnshop Diamonds have been making serious strides as well, getting some nice attention after releasing their latest EP in April. The band earned a WFNX pick of the week for their song “Motorcade,” and have been receiving some glowing album reviews from the likes of The Noise Magazine and IndieShows.net.
Only a fifteen minute drive from Boston, and right on Wollaston Beach, I highly recommend checking this one out!
